BAR Series Rules

Battalion Actions Rules (BAR) — Division/Corps/Army level rules for fighting famous battles where each Unit represents a Battalion/Brigade, covering combat from the Battle of Carillon (French & Indian War) to the modern Battle of Kursk (Ukraine 2025).

About the System

What Is BAR?

Battalion Actions Rules (BAR) is a Division, Corps, and Army level wargame system in which every unit on the table represents a Battalion or Brigade. Designed for players who want to command at the operational level, BAR puts you in the role of a general fighting famous engagements across nearly three centuries of warfare — from the wilderness ambushes of the French & Indian War to the armoured clashes of modern Ukraine. Each scenario is grounded in historical orders of battle, terrain, and command structures, giving you an authentic feel for the decisions that shaped the outcome of history's most decisive battles.
